Random Tile Editor - GlowPuff/JiMEditor GitHub Wiki

The Random Tile Editor is where you assign a number of tiles to be used in the Tile Block you're editing, and the Companion App will use these tiles to randomly lay out the Block differently every time the Scenario is played.

On the left is the Global Tile Pool. This is a list of all the tiles in the game. On the right is the Random Tile Pool into which you add tiles to be used in this Tile Block. As you add tiles into the Random Pool, they disappear from the Global Pool so they can't accidentally be used elsewhere in other Tile Blocks.

To move a tile from one side to the other, just double click it. You can also select it and click the appropriate arrow button. Up to 5 tiles can be added into the Random Pool.

If you don't want to add tiles into the Random Tile Pool using tile numbers, you can visually explore the tiles and add them by using the Tile Gallery.

During play in the Companion App, the tiles you've chosen in the Random Pool will be used to randomly build a Tile Block on the playing surface. The Tile Block will be built differently every time the Scenario is played, using varying positions and rotations for the tiles.

The Selected Tile panel on the right will fill in information about the selected random tile. Here, you can change which Side the tile will use, as well as set the text that is shown when the tile is first Explored. You can also visit the Token Editor to place Tokens on the selected tile, but only if it's not using a Random Side AND the Tile Block is not using Random Token Interaction Groups. In that case, Tokens will be randomly placed on the tile for you.
