Importing Custom Game Elements

Imperial Commander 2 supports custom game elements (groups, missions, campaigns) created with the Imperial Commander Editor.

Downloading Game Elements

Step 1: Visit the Imperial Commander Google Drive and download the game element you want to include.

Step 2: Locate your ImperialCommander folder. This folder is created when you first launch the app. It is created in your personal documents folder. On Windows, for example, the default Documents folder is under C:\Users\ (User name)\Documents, on Android it's storage/emulated/(userid)/Android/data/com.GlowPuff.ImperialCommander2/files.

Step 3: Place the downloaded file(s) in the correct subfolder:

  • Campaigns (file format ZIP): Subfolder CustomCampaigns (Note: Just zipping mission files is not enough, campaign files need to be created with the Campaign Packager in Imperial Commander Editor)
  • Missions (file format JSON): Subfolder CustomMissions
  • Characters (file format JSON): Subfolder ImportedCharacters

Starting a Custom Campaign

Step 1: Launch Imperial Commander 2 and click/tap on New Campaign.

Step 2: Click Import and select the campaign you want to start.

Step 3: Click/tap Start.

Starting a Custom Mission

Step 1: Launch Imperial Commander 2 and choose Saga / Select Mission mode. In the mission selection screen, click/tap OFFICIAL in the bottom right to switch between official and custom missions. The app now displays the folder structure of your ImperialCommander folder.

Step 2: Just select the custom mission you want to play, choose heroes, difficulties and so on, and then click START.

Importing Custom Characters

Enemy groups

Step 1: Launch Imperial Commander 2 and click on Expansions, then Import.

Step 2: Activate all enemy groups that you want to use. You can quickly activate / deactivate all groups via the icons on the bottom left.

Note: All groups activated in the Expansion menu are available to be added to open groups, just like official groups. They follow all the same rules as official groups and can be added to the Ignored groups if you don’t want to use them for a mission.

Heroes, Allies, and Villains

Heroes, villains, and allies do not need to be activated. Instead, they can be selected during mission setup and in the campaign log as usual. They can be found by clicking the scout trooper icon in the respective window.
