Clarity is the smart contract language of BlockStack

Pros:

• Lisp syntax
• Some blockchain-specific types

Cons:

• Low-level
• "decidability" not useful in any way and easily worked around.
• "interpreted", these guys really have no clue about the cost constraints of blockchain code evaluation.
• Ultimately doesn't understand what DApps are about.

Also, the company touts extremely misleading slogans such as “Stacks makes Bitcoin programmable”, when in actuality, like all other such solutions, it relies on a side-chain with its own consensus based on its own Proof-of-Stake.
