Thing To Do Before Release - GlimmerLabs/MathOverImages GitHub Wiki
What we should be getting done before MIST goes to the "masses"
- Clear statement of purpose
- More tutorials to get people started
- More (better) challenges
- Method of seeing what challenges are completed
Clear statement of purpose
What is MIST? What do we hope to accomplish by having you use MIST?
More tutorials to get people started
There needs to be an easy way for users to get started using the GUI. This could be another video tutorial, an on-page tutorial that's built into the GUI, or something else.
To figure out the best way to approach this issue we'll have to figure out what are the most common issues new users have learning the GUI.
More (better) challenges
We need to have a larger database of interesting challenges.
Method of seeing what challenges are completed
We need to have some indication of what challenges a user has completed. This could be similar to our system of keeping track of "likes" on an image.
Copy Images to Workspace
You should be able to copy someone else's image to your workspace. It should be straightforward.
- Turn the code into a layout (believe it or not, there's a function for doing so)
- Register it in your account
Optionally
- Make it the current workspace (using Earnest's 'cached workspace' hack)
- Go to the create page
