The Frolancer Game

The aim of this game is to proceed through multiple levels fighting all the things that give gamers rage. You will fight and beat up these personified rages through a series of combo punches and special move combos.

Character: The player can you one of a number of characters who are stereotypes of gamers(I believe)

Movement: using the left analogue stick the player can move their character left and right, and jump using the A key.

Combat: The player can fight the enemies with the combination of different attacks, their attacks are a light attack (X), a heavy hit (Y), and Block (b). Also there should be grabs, possible triggers for a left right grab, possibly left trigger left grab then right trigger to throw right. There will need to be a dash, to help combos, maybe bumbers or double tap the direction.

Combos: The player will be able to unlock special moves and combos, these would be achieved though unlocking them in an upgrade menu. They would be initiated by combinations of attacks or button presses. Enemies: The enemies will be split into different classes. These classes would transcend the appearance of the enemies, they would have different looks in themed levels.

Grunts: the most common enemy, low health and does only one different attack.

Elites: these would be harder to kill, they'd have more health and have 2 or maybe more types of attack or attack + special moves. So they might do the normal attack, and grenade. Or block. These would be almost captains of a group.

Bosses: These would be the hardest to beat. Designed relevant to the level.

Level design. Levels would be multiple stages to reach the boss of the level. Levels would have the same platform layout, but with randomized enemies, these would be of different designs but the same tiers. This allows the replayability to be similarly challenging, but more engaging. Level order would be randomized, so the player wouldn't know what might come next. Gameplay: The player and up to 3 friends fight through the levels killing enemies to get to the boss and beat the levels. The highscores would be the main goal, combos would most likely create a multiplier to create the biggest highscore.
