(Most of this stuff is already taken care of by unity & adventure creator)
- Lighting:
• Simple lighting: [example: lightpost outside gas station.]
• Maybe colored lights for certain areas? More complex lighting?
- Fade in/out effects:
• Simple Fade in/out: scene transitions & for other uses.
• Tunnel Fade in/out: scene transitions & for other uses.
• Other Fade in/out effects?
- Shaders:
- Black and white grainy film shader:
[used for Rod Serling like character scene & other places] • Other full screen shaders? Could be used to make the alien scene more dramatic/cooler...For flashbacks or dream sequences? uhh im sure there could be other spots where this could be cool...but...?
- Other stuff:
- Scrolling scenes: certain scenes scroll/continue for more than one screen. As in the Camera follows the player.
- Parallax: maybe only used in scrolling scenes? or also single screen scenes?
- Screenshake: Wonder if its possible for screenshake to not shake dialog?
- Player distance scaling: player size scales/ when walking further away into the background the player gets smaller & gets bigger when coming into the foreground for certain scenes.
- Camera Zoom In/(and maybe out too?):
Explanation: Camera zoom for specific scenes/actions. [examples: player show leg animation. certain talking/dialog scenes. for some puzzles, scenes and other areas.]
- Particle fx: (maybe could just be animations, but could be cool to have.)
• Fire
• Rain
• Water
• Electricity
• Dirt/Sand blowing in the wind?
• Dirt/Sand kicked up by player’s feet
• Car exhaust? or other car fx? like tires kicking up dirt?
• Puke
Interaction/Features:
- Save game/Load game/Continue:
- Interact with objects in the inventory:
• Clicking an item/object in the inventory: picks up the item/object.
• Mouse hover over item object in inventory: says what the object is.
MOUSE HOVER: “Pen”
• Inspect/Look, Talk, Use: Inspect items in the inventory to see what it is and get info or some sort of hint on what to do with the object.
LOOK: “This is a pen.”
TALK: “Maybe I could write on something with it..”
USE: Picks up object. (the same as clicking it.)
- Mouse double-click: Player walks faster to clicked position.
- Dialog Text Choice Highlighting: Highlight the dialog line below the mouse cursor. When the player moves the cursor over the different lines of dialog choices the dialog line/text that is directly under the mouse cursor is highlighted.
