Introduction

Getlatestversion.it, the first Italian Community on ALM, decided to expand its own scope to a broader set of Users: European Users.

In order to achieve such a goal, the Community is leveraging different ways to share the knowledge (in English Language):

• A new, dedicated, Web site (registered as getlatestversion.eu)
• Recording short videos (hosted on the YouTube Channel already set for the Italian Community)
• Online Live Events (hosted on on the YouTube Channel already set for the Italian Community)

Getlatestversion.eu Web Site

The Web site is meant to be both the Gateway to the whole set of activities of the community AND the container for articles produced by the Community.

In order to purse the goal of sharing and spreading activities over different channels, the Getlatestversion.eu Web Site will host an home page with different sections: each one will show latest activities over different channels:

• Latest Blog Posts (last 2 or 3)
• Latest Short Videos (DevOps Pills)
• Next Live Event / Show

Blog Post Container

As a section of the Main Home Page, the Getlatestversion.eu web site will host one of the most important part of the knowledge sharing activities: Blog Posts and Articles.

Blog Posts and Articles will be created as dedicated content (written in English) for the Community Portal.

The content will be peer-reviewed by Community members for both the correctness of the English AND for a review about contents.

Once the volunteer reviewer will approve the content, an automatic procedure will publish it on the Portal.

Content creation and publishing tools

Below a list of tools (yet to be fully evaluated by Community Members) which will be part of the workflow to contribute to the community.

• Hosting: GitHub Pages for Organizations
• Static Pages Generator: Hugo
• Content Management System (CMS): Netlify-CMS

Short Videos (DevOps Pills)

As a way to share content and spread the ALM word, the Community is going to record SHORT videos (3-4 mins. maximum) about different topics.

Live (Online) Events

As from the GLVOnAir format, Getlatestversion.eu will continue the same format (in English): 1 hour worth of Live Sessions about Application Lifecycle Management Topics. Users will interact with presenters.
