The overarching theme of GetPoplog is the modernisation of the Poplog project. As part of that we envisage an updated version of Pop-11 and we propose implementing an experimental subsystem, codenamed PopUp, to investigate the following proposals.

• Quasi-quoting operator required
• String Interpolation
• Dict and Tuple syntax
• Double-ended queue syntax
• Code-planting as tree-building
• Bindings, Conditional and Loops as Pattern-matching
• Decorators (aka Attributes) for definitions
