Manual Installation - Gerzer/Binary-Shark GitHub Wiki

Overview

If you don't know what you're doing, then you should just download Binary Shark from the App Store.

There are two different ways to manually install Binary Shark on iPhone and Apple Watch: with an Apple Developer Program account or without one. Enrolling in the Apple Developer Program costs $99 per year for individuals. It is, indeed, possible to install Binary Shark without enrolling, but then you'll need to reinstall the app every 7 days. This is a restriction put in place by Apple to discourage the practice of side-loading apps for non-development purposes. With an Apple ID that is enrolled in the Apple Developer Program, you'll never have to reinstall the app (unless you cancel your membership, of course).

Installation Procedure

No matter what, you'll need to download the latest version of Xcode from the Mac App Store (it's free). Once you've done that, download the latest version of Binary Shark from the Releases page. Double-click the Binary Shark.xcworkspace file to open it. Make sure that you're opening the .xcworkspace file, not the .xcodeproj file! Now connect your iPhone to your Mac over USB and click the app icon in the top-left corner of the Xcode window. From the resulting drop-down, select Binary Shark > [Your iPhone]. Click the play button in the top-left corner, and you should be good to go!
