MENTORS COPY THIS TEMPLATE - GeomScale/gsoc2020 GitHub Wiki
Explain the motivation for your coding project. What problem would it solve?
What other software, libraries or packages with similar functionality already exist? What are their limitations that your project will overcome?
Details of your coding project
What exactly do you want your student to code in the 3-month deadline? Will it be a new project to GeomScale or extend an existing one? Documentation needed? What about tests? What is the proposed programming language?
MENTORS: please explain how this project will affect the GeomScale project, the open source community as well as the scientific software community.
MENTORS: fill in names, affiliations and contact details. Each project needs 2 mentors.
Students, please contact both mentors below after completing at least one of the tests below.
Students, please do one or more of the following tests before contacting the mentors above.
MENTORS: write several tests that potential students can do to demonstrate their capabilities for this particular project.
- Easy: something simple, e.g. download, compile and run a simple example with a library.
- Medium: something a bit more complicated. Solve a simple issue in a library, write a script or small part of code for some simple functionality.
- Hard: implement some core functionality.
Solutions of tests
