Creating a Jump Gate
Jump Gates are created when two or more jump gate drives intersect. To see where the drives are raycasting, enable the "Debug Mode" option on a jump gate controller.
Any number of drives can be merged into a single jump gate, and any construct can have any number of gates. The number of jump gates per construct can be limited via the configuration file.
A standard gate must have all drives on the same construct. A construct is any collection of grids joined by hinges, rotors, pistons, or remote links.
Jump Drive Colors
Jump drives display their status via their emissives. On large grid drives, these are the colored "balls" on the sides of the drives. On small grid drives, these are the chevrons. The various possible colors and their meanings are below:
- Red - Drive is disabled. This can be do to a lack of power or begin turned off.
- Yellow - The drive is enabled but is not part of a jump gate.
- Flashing Green - The drive is enabled and part of a jump gate, but the jump gate has no attached jump gate controller.
- Solid Green - The drive is enabled and part of a controlled jump gate.
