Connect Freepad to a synthesizer

Freepad is a midi controller; it sends notes and messages to a physical or virtual synthesizer. So, you need to connect it to a synthesizer if you want to send notes and messages from Freepad.

Under Linux, using Jack, Freepad is automatically connected to the Midi Through port when you start it.

[!TIP] You don't need to connect to a synthesizer if you only want to get or send a program to your physical device.
