Checking your mesh with Paraview - GeoChemFoam/GeoChemFoam GitHub Wiki
This tutorial will use the results of running the initCase.sh script in GeoChemFoam Tutorial 01.
-
Download, install, and open Paraview.
-
Run the tutorial 1 createMesh.sh and runSnappyHexMesh.sh scripts and copy the results into a local directory by following steps 1-4 in Tutorial 1.
-
Load the results into Paraview by dragging the Paraview_loader.foam file from your results directory into Paraview.
- Uncheck 'Skip Zero Time', then press 'Apply' and 'Refresh'.
- Select 'decomposed case' if your case has not been reconstructed (in the tutorials the cases have not been reconstructed).
- Select 'Surface with Edges' from the drop down menu.
- Search for and uncheck 'Decompose Polyhedra' and press 'Apply'.
You should now see something like this:
- Check that it looks like what you would expect, that it has an inlet and outlet.
- Check that it hasn't cut off bits of the pore-space that were too small to mesh. You can zoom in to examine the individual mesh components:
