Hit Location - Genii-Locorum/brp GitHub Wiki
Whilst Hits per Location is a game setting all characters use at least one hit location (General) to record general damage.
Unlike most other items you don't enter the item name - you enter a Location Name (e.g. Head) and a Creature Type (e.g. Humanoid). The item name is then made up of the two parts. This is to prevent a lot of hit locations being listed with the same name (e.g. Head) for different Creature types.
Now add a BRPID.
You then enter:
- Hit Location Range Start and End values for a D20 roll. For "general" hit locations enter 0 in both boxes.
- HP Fraction - enter the value that total HP will be divided by to give the HP for the location. For "general" hit locations enter 0.
- ENC Fraction - enter the value of the total ENC of a piece of armour will be divided by to give actual ENC. For "general" hit locations enter 0.
- Hit Location Type - select from Limb, Abdomen, Chest, Head and general. This is used to determine what happens when certain damage thresholds are reached.
You can also enter a description on the second tab and GMs have access to a GM Notes tab.
When added to an actor sheet the following information is also available
- Hit Point Adjustment - you can increase or decrease the maximum Hit Points for this hit location (a positive number increases the HP)
- There are then some statuses determined by the hit location type:
- Injured - this is determined by wounds and can not be toggled
- Incapacitated - this is determined by wounds and can not be toggled
- Severed (limbs only) - can be toggled
- Unconscious (non-limbs) - can be toggled
- Dead - can be toggled
- Bleeding - can be toggled
