Combat Roll - Genii-Locorum/brp GitHub Wiki
A combat roll is very similar to an Opposed Roll - generally there are two or more actors trying to hurt each other or avoid getting hurt.
When creating a combat roll(any click from the weapon or from the context menu) the roll is added to an open chat card if it exists otherwise it's added to a new card.
Like Combined Rolls there are three things to note on the chat card:
- The "x" by the individual roll name - clicking this removes the particular roll from the card
- Close Card button - cancels the card without a roll
- Resolve button - this makes the dice rolls. Combat rolls, unlike opposed rolls, only require one participant (perhaps a sniper taking a shot at an unaware opponent). Each roll is made separately and the results compared in line with the game rules.
If there is a winner then they will have a golden crown by their result level (in this case John made a success while Ted failed.
Clicking on the individual rolls expands the card to reveal more details about the role.
Note that only the owner of the actor or a GM can expand the roll section for a skill check.
