Parties are an Actor, but have a very different appearance. They are there for two reasons - firstly if you want to have the party on a map/scene as a single entity, but the second is to let the GM and players have an overview of the party on screen (open the party sheet for this).

To create a Party:

Go to the Actors Directory

Click on Create Actor

i. Give the Party a name

ii. Select the type "Party"

You will then see a blank sheet - there are no tabs.

iii. Drag a character on to the party (only the GM can do this). You will now see an image of the character and a HP and MP Bar.

iv. The GM can remove the character from the party by double clicking the trashcan icon (players won't see this)

v. You can add multiple characters

vi. You can resize and reshape the sheet as you see fit to best suit your party size and screen.

vi. If you have permission, you can open the character sheet by clicking on the character image

vii. Depending on the game settings, players will either see the value of HP and MP or just the bar. GMs can always see the values. See Display Options for more information.

viii. Players get observer permissions for the sheet by default

Don't forget to add a Chaosium ID
