Opposed Roll - Genii-Locorum/aov GitHub Wiki

To make an opposed roll against another actor (character, NPC) hold ALT and click on the skill or passion value in the relevant part of the character or NPC sheet(main tab when the sheet is locked).

This will open up a dialog box asking you to enter the

Bonus (enter a penalty as a negative value) - the default is zero.

You can skip the dialog box by holding SHIFT in addition to ALT when you click the passion/skill score (the default values will be used)

  • If there isn't an open Opposed Roll then a new one is created and this roll will be the first participant.

  • If there is an open roll with only an active participant, then this roll will be added as the second participant

  • If there is an open roll with two participants then you will get an error message to resolve the open roll

It does not matter which order the participants are added. The GM can delete a participant to the roll by clicking on the small cross in a circle icon by the participant. They can cancel the whole role by clicking the "Close Card" button They can finalise the roll by clicking the "Resolve Card" button at which point the dice will be rolled and the results displayed

The result of the Dice Roll will appear in the chat log with the Winner (if there is one) indicated with a yellow banner

Clicking on the particpant's Result level (e.g. 'Loser - Fail 96' or 'Winner - Success 29' in the screenshot) will expand the results to show tadditional information about the rolls.
