Dice Rolls - Genii-Locorum/aov GitHub Wiki
To make "stuff" happen you'll need to make Dice Rolls. In the system Dice Rolls have two component
Card Type - this is generally the type of roll (Unopposed, Opposed, Resistance)
Roll Type - this generally is the thing being rolled (Skill Roll, Passion Roll, Damage, Characteristics)
The different rolls that have been implemented so far are listed below with links to more information:
Normal Unopposed Rolls
Resistance Rolls
- Characteristic Resistance Roll versus a fixed value
- Characteristic Resistance Roll versus another actor
Opposed Rolls
Augmented Rolls
Combat Rolls
Generally to trigger a roll click on the relevant number (Characteristic Value, Skill %, Passion% or Damage Formula). See the above links for more details.
You can also make Skill and Passion rolls from the macro bar - simply drag the relevant skill or passion to the hotbar and it will create the relevant icon. Click on the icon to trigger a roll, using CTRL, ALT and SHIFT as described in the individual roll descriptions.
Dodge Rolls
Dodge rolls are a special case. When making a Dodge roll, irrespective of the type of Roll, if there is an open Combat Roll and you don't hold SHIFT to override the Dialog box, you will get the option to add the Dodge to the combat roll.
ENC Penalties ENC Penalties are automatically applied to the rolls where Current ENC exceeds maximum ENC
