Here we will go into a bit more detail with some step by step guides on setup and configuration for various common senarios.

Common Customer Scenarios

Below are a number of scenarios that describe the deployment environments of customers who have data that we would like to ingest into Predix.

Windows Server

The Customer has data files accessible from a Windows server where they are willing to let us install software that can send files to Predix.

Solution: Windows Installation

Linux Server

The Customer has data files accessible from a Linux server where they are willing to let us install software that can send files to Predix.

Solution: Linux Install

No GE Software

The Customer has data files accessible from a server but they are not prepared to let us install a GE piece of software on their server, but are willing to use an open source tool.

Solution: Open Source Build

No Server

The Customer has data files accessible on their internal network but insist that we provide the hardware to run any software we want to run.

Solution: TrueConnectLink Appliance

Custom Software Intergration

The Customer does not have the data in a file format, so the data would need to be sent to Predix from a Non GE software solution.

Solution: Open Source Fork

FTP Server

The Customer has an existing FTP sever that they use already to distribute data files to third parties.

Solution: FTP Pull Adapter
