description.txt is an optional file used by mod-sdk to display information about a mod in the main mod selection dialog.

It's a simple text file that can be used to display whatever information you need, like a brief description of the mod, revision number, a change log, etc. It's basically an embedded readme.txt that doesn't need to be shoved in the face of unaware users.

Use it to your heart's contents, mod players will thank you.
