Install (non Raspberry pi)
-
On Windows, simply download the Windows build and execute the .exe. It'll use your 'my pictures' folder by default. To enable the webserver you'll have to launch it elevated.
-
On Linux (Non Raspberry pi) you'll want to look at the install.sh, download it, and modify Installation (Raspberry pi): The installation is currently documented below the code page in the Readme file. I'll leave it there for now until I come up with a more consistent approach.
The install involves downloading and running the install.sh.
Usage on Raspberry pi: To exit: Please hit the 'escape' key to exit. I'm investigating other key combinations/methods to exit this.
To Restart: From the pi/Dynaframe folder, please execute: ./Dynframe
This will restart the application again.
To configure: When Dynaframe starts up, it'll show a URL (website) at the bottom...this is the configuration page. Navigate to that on any web browser which is on the same network to configure Dynaframe.
The options are:
- Rotation - This will affect the rotation of the image. If you have a portrait frame, then you'll want to rotate the image 90 or 270 degrees
- Folder - Each folder is considered a 'playlist'. Selecting a folder will lock the slideshow to that folder.
- Shuffle - This will shuffle the playlist of images
- All - This will play all images in all folders
