Meeting minutes 2019 02 15 - Geant-RnD/ExascaleProxyDocuments GitHub Wiki
Attendees: Philippe, Jonathan, Guilherme, Soon, Paolo.
Johnathan: Dockers are almost ready. They are uploaded. I still need to automate them.
Philippe: Can you add TiMemory support to GeantV to get a clearer picture?
Johnathan: yes, that should be straightforward.
Philippe: Looking at Johnathan plot, if we support Photon, e-, e+, pi+, p-, neutron and positron, it looks like we would have 99% coverage in CPU and 98% in number of particular. Do we have easy access to ‘standalone’ physics for neutron and proton?
Soon: not really, it is not in GeantV.
Philippe: Fair enough with Photon, e-, e+, pi+, p-, with have 80% cpu and 70% of particle which seems like a good start. So I propose that we focus on those and when we are on solid ground to extend to neutron and proton.
Seth: For the new position we are awaiting more candidate before starting the interviewing and hiring process. We need more advertisement.
Philippe: The new step is to start the repository with a prototype of the prototype. As point out by Johnathan, a good way would be a Hack-A-thon (in person). So let’s have a Hack-A-Thon on March 6 though 8 at FNAL.
Philippe: We shall have a meeting next week, then skip, then Hack-A-Thon.
