KerbalHealth is a mod for Kerbal Space Program that gives you an ability (and responsibility) to manage kerbals' health.
Every kerbal has Health Points (HP), which is an abstraction for his/her physical and mental condition, stamina, and workability. The maximum number of HP is determined by the kerbal's level. If HP falls to 0, the kerbal dies! If HP falls to 20% of the maximum, he/she is considered exhausted and cannot operate (technically, becomes a Tourist).
Kerbals' HP change depending on many factors including whether the kerbal is well-trained for the mission, how crowded is the vessel, if he/she is alone or has crewmates, etc. You can view current HP, health %, condition (OK or Exhausted), and time until next condition for all your kerbals in the Health Monitor while in KSC or in flight. You can also see projected daily HP change, time until next condition (usually exhaustion) and balance points (see sub-section on Marginal Health Change) in the Health Report in the VAB/SPH. Read more about what affects kerbals' health.
Kerbals are also affected by radiation, both cosmic and artificial, which slowly but permanently degrades their maximum health. Solar weather and radiation storms make interplanetary travel even riskier. You control their radiation level with smart mission planning and shielding. Read more about Radiation.
Prepare for contingencies! Kerbals can occasionally experience a panic attack, have an unfortunate health accident, which will damage their health, or even catch a flu. Sicknesses can transmit from a kerbal to a kerbal and may ruin your mission unless you take measures. Read more about health events and sicknesses.
This mod is flexible and almost everything can be tuned in the in-game Difficulty Settings or through config files.
Please report bugs and give your feedback in the Issues section of this github along with your output_log.txt. I will also love to hear your feedback, ideas, and requests.
