A selection of workshops I am using or I have tested on different maps

This is a unsorted list of workshops I have at least tested (see "Outtakes" for the ones causing issues/trouble on my servers).

Some workshops are not listed here, but in the description of the installation&configuration of specific map versions (like "Winter on Chernarus", etc.)

Basic workshops

For the installation, create a file called gamelabs.cfg in your profiles directory. Do not add any additional file extensions.

Inside this file, put following JSON configuration:

Replace the Server-Id and API-Key placeholders with your appropiate API information.

Call the server panel pressing the PAUSE-key: image

Copy&paste the folder /ServerPanel into your /configfolder.That folder contains the ServerPanel.jsonfile.

Key Operation
Y Open the toolbar menue
INSERT Toggle free camera; note: This teleporst your player to the position you looked at when exiting out of it
H Teleports you to the position you are looking at

Heatmap

DayZ Heatmap Visualization Tool

This tool is a small website you can open with any browser on your local PC to inspect heatmap files. The tool requires javascript to be enabled! At first server start a folder called Heatmap is created in your server profiles folder. In this folder the movement data is saved at server shutdown. How to use:

  1. Open the index.html

  2. Select the map at the top of the page.

  3. Drag and drop any number of heatmap files into the browser window.

  4. Click Merge Data and Map to generate a combined image you can save using right click context

If the map is not present but you have a image of the map and know the maps size you can use Local Map and select the image and set the size yourself. Adding your own map:

  1. Add a your map to the mapSelect element.

  2. Add the size of your map to mapSize.

  3. Add a link to the image of your map to mapImage.

  4. Open the website in your browser

Since Dayz 1.24 BBP has a problem with constantly (each server restart) spawning in the static cement mixer (if part of the BBP

Workaround:

  1. "Install" the workshop DayZ Editor Loader on your server.

  2. Open the file BBP_Settings.json located in the BBP configuration folder \config\BaseBuildingPlus.

  1. Delete all entries between the brackets:
    "BBP_CementMixerLocations": []
  1. Commit changes.

  2. Use DayZ Editor to create a dze-file containing only the required BBP_static_cement_mixer at the required locations.
