- Recently I have acquired a new game(to me at least) known as Rimworld. Rimworld has been a game a few of my classmates and friends for the storytelling aspects of the game along with the survival aspect, which it does deliver in both categories. The survival is extreme compared to most I've played as you have to manage supplies, technology improvements, welfare, and health in extreme detail to your colonists. With that said the backgrounds of each colonist is very complex and can cause story interaction between each other with both negative and positive effects. This applied to the goal of leaving the planet and not dying to wildlife, lack of supplies, or etc. really makes this a game where you have to plan and have plans for your plans since something is bound to go wrong.
Over this past week I participated with a group to build a prototype for an existing game. While working on this it blew me away how much really goes into major game projects with all the rhetoric and details one would ought to know. I myself was lucky to work with producing the physical prototype.
