  1. This week I looked on the results of the little test we did back in class. By examining the rules and actions of each game I noticed that almost any game seems to rely on a bit of luck or chance within them. While some games do require skill to win and can be honed over time, a single card picked up can change the whole thing, which to me means that if you really want to let a game be re-playable a small bit of luck or chance must always be needed or else the game becomes static and boring for veterans and less likely to play if they know exactly what's going to happen.

  2. This week while browsing steam I found a demo for a game called Immure that really caught my eye. The game itself is very story driven, and relies on investigation to solve a case. All the while you have to avoid being caught by a monster chasing you throughout the level. The core mechanics had me searching for clues while directing the narrative of the story by my choices leading me to decide the ultimate fate of end result. Aesthetically the game gives a more mystery horror, with vivid color added to help visualize the tone with a ominous yet optimistic tone.
