Segments and street corners configurations are all saved inside the savegame. Both can be exported to an global file to be reused in other savegames - they are called Libraries.

Buildings and Vehicles are saved in separate files by default to export to Workshop, like was expained in the basics topic. But also it can be saved with the savegame and or globally, replacing a Workshop default layout that was bundled with the asset, giving the players full customization power over the text layouts created.
