The expedition is a brand new activity type that allows you to explore ancient Elven ruins. It is unlocked after completing the "What is an Archeologist Decision", and is that starting point of your journey. The very first expedition you do will be limited to only one location in the Alps, but as you progress through the story many more sites will be unlocked throughout the map.

Rewards

The are various treasures to be discovered during expeditions, from a few gold coins to components that can be used to repair the portal. Here is a short list of what can be currently discovered:

Trials

Alongside gold and weapons, there is a chance to encounter a "Trial". Each trial will demand a proficiency in a different stat, and must be completed in order to claim the rewards they protect.
