1.What do we want to create?

• We want to create an android application “DIGI Sports” for the students of GLA University which will have all sports club under the GLA University and any student of the University could join any club from the android application and also could get information about any upcoming events or see the old events which were held and their details.

2.What is our idea about?

• Our application aims to aggregate all the sports club under one umbrella so that a person can have access to all sports-related information in one place and could navigate to any upcoming or past events with ease and also get to participate in events which might go unnoticed by the student due to not seeing any notices on the university campus.

• The android application will enable all students of the university to check the details of any sports club which will include the details of that sports coach, joining procedure and other details related to particular sports. Currently, the students don't have any such facility and they don’t have any common platform on which they can check any upcoming events or contact any coaches or coordinators of that sport. Students could log in to the platform using a valid University Roll No. and password. Once logged in the student could check the different sports club available and could join if wanted by a simple click to join button.

• Students who don’t want to be part of any sports club and still play any sport could place a request to issue any sports item such as a volleyball, a bat, badminton racket etc from within the application and could collect the item from the sports office. The availability of any such items will also be updated in real-time so that students don’t have to waste their time going to the sports office and finding that the specific item isn’t available anymore.

• Once an item is issued to a student it will be mapped to their profile and will be visible on the application with the details of time duration for which it has been issued and in case of failure of return in the given time, there will be fine on the items which would also be visible to the students. Students could also access any past held event details and check the winner and all the position holders in that sports event with their respective picture. There would also be the details of all upcoming events with a registration form, so if interested, students could also register themselves for any events that are yet to be held and are available on the application form. This will help in attracting students towards sports activities as the student will get to know all the details easily and all the information will be at their fingertips.
