This presentation provides a simplified catalog approach to selecting and ensuring Cloud Related Service Level Agreements are adequate. Why does this matter? As agencies and organizations migrate their applications and data to the cloud, some risks increase, especially the loss of transparency to know, see, and manage the hosting environment. Applications can become subjected to new performance issues such as lagging response times or lack of availability, or a myriad of other Service Level issues that crop up when a remote third-party provider is now at the helm. Building contracts (aka Agreements) with providers that optimizes your statement of objective/work requirements is paramount.
This presentation provides federal customers with (1) the pick list of needed Service Level Agreements, (2) re-usable contract language to providers, (3) requesting assurance from the provider they can meet your standard and they provide you their technique to measuring, (4) and their penalty or provision in the event of not meeting a Service Level, such as a service credit.
