Sprint 2 MS6 - G33-Moviles-2026-1/Wiki GitHub Wiki
Value Proposition:
The app is designed to reduce uncertainty in the use of campus spaces at Universidad de los Andes by providing students with structured, data driven information about classroom availability during gaps between classes. Through the analysis of institutional scheduling data, complemented by contextual signals and route guidance, the application supports more efficient decision making regarding where to study, collaborate, or rest. By minimizing time lost in searching for available rooms and reducing congestion in highly demanded areas, the system contributes to improved productivity, lower stress levels, and a more balanced distribution of students across existing campus infrastructure.
UI/UX design:
Colour palette and its rationale
The color palette consists of 4 colors:
- #FFFBA9
- #FDF21C
- #000000
- #FFFFFF
We chose these colors because they reflect the institutional identity of the university, as the app is developed specifically for use on campus. Additionally, the yellow tones convey optimism, focus, and mental stimulation, aligning well with a study-oriented environment and encouraging productivity. Black adds contrast and structure, reinforcing readability and visual hierarchy, while white provides cleanliness and simplicity, supporting an intuitive and distraction-free booking experience.
Fonts
ADLaM Display was selected for headers because it is a display sans-serif typeface designed to create strong visual impact at large sizes, making it ideal for titles and key sections that require emphasis and personality.
Poppins was chosen for body text due to its geometric sans-serif structure, clean letterforms, and high legibility, which make it well-suited for paragraphs and interface elements.

Navigational patterns
We chose a content driven pattern to prioritize clarity and usability within the application. This approach ensures that navigation elements support the structure and purpose of the app without drawing attention away from the core content. By guiding users forward through content containers such as lists, cards, and actionable buttons, the interaction flow becomes intuitive and task-oriented. This decision aligns with the principle that navigation should feel natural and familiar, minimizing cognitive load and reducing the number of steps required to complete a reservation. As a result, users experience a smoother, more user-friendly flow that enhances efficiency and overall satisfaction within the booking process.
Classmates Feedback C3 MS5
After showcasing the Figma Prototype to the classmates, this was the feedback they gave us:
- The color palette feels too faded; consider using more saturated or vibrant colors.
- Icons are too large across the app (navbar, top bar, buttons, and other components).
- The bottom navigation bar should remove text labels and keep only icons.
- There is too much empty space; the design feels overly minimalistic.
- Not all UI elements need drop shadows; shadows should be used more selectively.
- The typography should be changed to a different font.
