2.Gathering Pertinent Information - G-Division-2021-22-EVEN/Repo-13 GitHub Wiki

2.1 NEED STATEMENT

A robotic competition is arranged on the KLE Tech campus on the day of the project exhibition where robots have to prove their ruggedness by fighting with other robots.

2.2 INTRODUCTION

Warbots are the tools that are designed for combats, and defence applications such as attacking enemies and sending signals to the administrator. It uses many mechanisms, art and complex designs. These models do perform a specific task and produce desired output by receiving a particular input from the administrator. These models use built by various processes such as mechatronics, programming etc.

2.3 PERTINENT INFORMATION

WARBOT

Warbot is an automated or remote-controlled machine designed for physical warfare or combats. It is done by controlling the action of its opponent while at the same time protecting itself from aggression. The tactics employed by the combat bot operators against their opponent by having weapons to attack as well as a safeguard from their opponents.

2.3.1 APPLICATION OF WARBOTS IN REAL LIFE

  1. Military Operations :

Military robots are designed for military applications, from transport to search & rescue and attack. Autonomous robotics would save and preserve soldiers' lives by removing serving soldiers, who might otherwise be killed, from the battlefield. can operate on their own for extended periods, possibly behind enemy lines. Current robots that are equipped with weapons are teleoperated and are not capable of taking lives autonomously.

  1. Professional Tournaments :

Robot combat is a mode of robot competition in which custom-built machines fight using various methods to incapacitate each other. The machines have generally been remote-controlled vehicles rather than autonomous robots. Robot combat uses weight classes, with the heaviest robots able to exert more power and destructive capabilities.

  1. Using drone bots as weapons for(Hitman, Spying)

The spy drones can take off and land anywhere, while manoeuvre through city streets and hallways, and they can stop and turn on a dime, these micro-drones can also pack a lethal punch, equipped with an array of weapons and sensors, including tasers, explosives, high-resolution video cameras, infrared sensors, license plate readers, and listening devices.

2.3.2 DIY PROJECTS FOUND

SL NO. NAME PHOTO LINK INFORMATION
1. DRUM SPINNER https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iauwawWsjks Drum spinners are usually cylindrically-shaped weapons thicker than vertical flywheels, which cover a wider surface area than a conventional disc and are always mounted horizontally. They often use barbs or sharp teeth attached to the drum to grind, tear and flip opponents over.
2. BATTLEBOT SPINNER https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBnx_11rpvE&t=80s They are commonly referenced as vertical or horizontal spinners, depending on the rotation axis. They're usually equipped with a self-righting mechanism as they're unable to function when flipped, with some exceptions.
3. CARDBOARD COMBATBOT https://youtu.be/0T1xvsSI-9k The idea behind this battle bot is to try to build a bot as cheap as possible. we can use cardboard for the body of the robot instead of sheet metal, or scissors .
4. BATTLEBOT VERTICAL SPINNER https://youtu.be/FbuG_OlsTUg Vertical spinners are another ball game because even if your bot is sturdy enough to not take serious damage, a solid hit will send you flying.

2.3.3 COMPONENTS USED IN THE PROJECT

  1. ARDUINO UNO The Arduino Mega 2560 is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega2560. It has 54 digital input/output pins (of which 15 can be used as PWM outputs), 16 analog inputs, 4 UARTs (hardware serial ports), a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, and a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button.

  1. DC MOTOR,12V A 12v DC motor is small and inexpensive, yet powerful enough to be used for many applications. Because choosing the right DC motor for a specific application can be challenging, it is important to work with the right company.
