Wabtec is the merger between WABCO and Motive Power Incorporated (previously Morrison-Knudsen). The 2 merged in 1999 because funny. Because silly. Because I’m just stalling for time and don’t wanna write an actual history yet.

On February 25th, 2019, Wabtec acquired GE Transportation. Basically anything you hear come from GE is Wabtec’s doing. Wabtec’s like a slightly less terrible Progress Rail.
