GO Transit 623 Departing Toronto Union Station
The Motive Power Industries MPXpress MP36PH-3S, MP36PH-3C and MP40PH-3C, are streamlined bullet like passenger locomotives, which from a distance, look like the F59PHI, but do not confuse them for that, they are better looking.
Produced in 2003, the world needed a new(er) passenger rail equipment to go up against the now aging EMD F59PH(I) units, and the EMD F40PHs.
MPI went out of their way to make 5 different units for railroads to choose from, three of which will be spoken here
The MP36PH-3S was originally purchased by Metra for their Chicago area lines in 2003, those units having around 3,600hp
The MP36PH-3C was similar to the 3S, with the exception of instead of shaft-driven head end power, it was a discrete Head End Generator. This variant was also built in 2003.
The final normal variant, is the MP40PH-3C, created between 2007 and 2008, it is the same rough design of the MP36, but instead of 3600hp, it was given 4000hp, cause, ya know, you kinda need 4000hp to pull 12 bi-levels at 93MP/H (150km/h for my non-Americans).

Notes
(1) The MP36PH-3S and 3C had a 16-645F3B, however, the MP40PH-3C had a 16-710G3B-T2, therefore, the power would be increased to 4,000hp
(2) The MP36PH-3S, uses a shaft-driven HEP generator much like the F40PH. However, the MP36PH-3C and MP40PH-3C, use a discrete CAT C-27 HEP generator
