The Motive Power Industries MPXpress MP36PH-3S, MP36PH-3C and MP40PH-3C, are streamlined bullet like passenger locomotives, which from a distance, look like the F59PHI, but do not confuse them for that, they are better looking.
Produced in 2003, the world needed a new(er) passenger rail equipment to go up against the now aging EMD F59PH(I) units, and the EMD F40PHs.
MPI went out of their way to make 5 different units for railroads to choose from, three of which will be spoken here

(2) The MP36PH-3S, uses a shaft-driven HEP generator much like the F40PH. However, the MP36PH-3C and MP40PH-3C, use a discrete CAT C-27 HEP generator
