CalNev Locomotion was formed in 1990 as a Morrison Knudsen subsidiary. It allowed MK to absorb the spoils left behind from MLW/Bombardier, mainly with the M424, HR406, and HR616.

Then of course you know what happened to MK, and CalNev decided to spin off of it and become its own independent entity, even getting some MK spoils from it.

So far, CalNev has 5 locomotives on their catalogue, 3 all new, 2 rebuilds.
