Lab 5.1: Simple Routing Lab - FlameSpyro/Tech-Journal GitHub Wiki
Review
AS the title states, this lab was very simple and involved us connecting three computers to a router in packet tracer. The only issue that I ran into was forgetting to use copper crossover cables when connecting the computer directly to the router. For the packet sniffers make sure to connect one coming from the router and one going to in order to get a full analysis on the packets being sent.

After assigning the IP, subnets and default gateways I had to use a crossover cable in order to be able to send data to the other machines.

To configure the interface of the router I started by going with an empty router and was given plenty of open slots once opening the settings. There was a variety of options for ports to attach and I ended up going with the fast ethernet as that's what I'm familiar with.

Using a sniffer is super easy, after dragging it onto the board simply connect you pc to the sniffer and another cable to the router. This will only sniff packets going one way so another sniffer is needed to track both directions
