OBS Feature Spotlight - Fenrirthviti/obs-studio GitHub Wiki
Greetings OBS Community!
I'm working on a few small projects to increase engagement from our side, the OBS Contributors, to you, the OBS Community. One of the first things put together was my What's new in 20.0? blog post, which detailed the new features and functionality introduced in that update, as well as went over other fixes and enhancements that might not be easily noticed. Next, we made an introduction to streaming using the x264 encoder, which provided an excellent starting point for new users to understand how video encoding and streaming works.
This marks the start of a project intended to bring you all a monthly Feature Spotlight blog post. This will be similar to the one I did for the What's new post, but slightly more centered on education and tutorials. Each post would focus on one or two lesser-known (or commonly misunderstood) features of OBS Studio, and go into detail on how to use them properly. It would include examples, short video clips, step-by-step instructions, external resources, etc.
I'd like to take the time to reach out to you - the wonderful OBS Community - for suggestions on what you want to see, and if you think there is value in the OBS Contributors putting together resources like this. I would like to humbly ask a few questions:
- Did you find the What's new post helpful at all, and would you like to see more in the future?
- What existing OBS features would you like to see covered in a Feature Spotlight blog?
NOTE: This is for currently implemented features. This is not intended to be a suggestion post. You are more than welcome to provide suggestions for new features and functionality in the Feedback and Suggestions forum.
