3. Shifters - FendtXerion3800/Fanatec-Pinout GitHub Wiki
Basic Information
Connector found on:
- all
Required pins:
- 1 - GND
- 4 - X-Axis / Shift Down
- 5 - Y-Axis / Shift Up
Optional pins (Mandatory for H-Pattern):
- 3 - Selector Sequential or H-Pattern
- 6 - +5V
The wheelbase has two seperate shifter connectors, Shifter 1 and Shifter 2. Both have the same functionality but it is recommended to connect the shifter with H-Pattern capability to Shifter 1 when there is a sencond shifter with just seqential functionality connected. Pin 4 and 5 are used as digital inputs when in Sequential mode and as analog inputs when in H-Pattern mode. The standard mode is the sequential mode. To change this, the pulled up Pin 3 has to be shorted to GND. This means:
HIGH --> Sequential Mode
LOW --> H-Pattern Mode
H-Pattern with sequential capability
The ClubSport Shifter SQ V 1.5
Sequential Only Shifter
For a sequential only shifter, just this circuit is needed:
Because Pin 3, 4 and 5 are on +5V when in an open circuit, there is no need to connect pin 3 to select the sequential mode and it is enough to connect pin 4 and 5 with momentary buttons to Ground on Pin 1. By pressing a button the connected pin will go from HIGH to LOW and the wheelbase detects a shift.
This is the way the ClubSport Static Shifter Paddles works. A DIY variant is made by juanmcasillas and his Fanashifter. He has a great dokumentation about his Projet.
