These are the instructions for installing the extension in "unpacked" mode. Make sure to read carefully to avoid any errors.
- REMOVE any previous versions of FastForward.
- Download the zip using this link.
- Unzip the downloaded file so that you have
FastForward_chromium_0.XXXX.zip. You may now deleteFastForward_chromium.zip, as it is no longer needed. - Back in your browser, go to
chrome://extensions/. - Use the toggle in the top right corner to enable "Developer mode".
- Drag the
FastForward_chromium_0.XXXX.zipfile into the extensions page. You should now see the extensions options page, with a message saying "Thank you for installing FastForward!". If this is not the case, and you are prompted to save the file, or it downloaded to your downloads folder, see Troubleshooting - You may now delete the
FastForward_chromium_0.XXXX.zipfile, as it is no longer needed.
Fastforward should now be installed. If you have any issues, please view the troubleshooting section below before contacting us. If the issue persistes, please contact us on our Discord server for immediate support, or open and issue on our github.
- REMOVE any previous versions of FastForward.

FastForward_firefox_0.XXXX.xpi. - Open
about:config - Search for
xpinstall.signatures.required - Toggle
xpinstall.signatures.requiredtofalseusing the button on the right. It may already be set to false, if this is the case, skip this step. - Restart Firefox by closing all browser windows and opening it again.
- Open
about:addons - Drag your
FastForward_firefox_X.XXXX.xpiinto Firefox, and click "add" when prompted.
Fastforward should now be installed. If you have any issues, please view the troubleshooting section below before contacting us. If the issue persistes, please contact us on our Discord server for immediate support, or open and issue on our github.
Fastforward is not avaliable on Apple iOS at this time due to restrictions by apple, and is only avalible for some Android browsers.
- Click here and follow the steps.
- When you are on step 5, place this number:
17352072on Collection Owner. - Write
FastForwardon Collection Name. - Tap "Ok".
- Open Firefox.
- Tap on the 3 dots.
- Tap on Extensions.
- Find FastForward.
- Add FastForward.
- REMOVE any previous versions of FastForward.
- Download the zip using this link.
- Use your phones file manager to unzip the downloaded file so that you have
FastForward_chromium_0.XXXX.zip. You may now deleteFastForward_chromium.zip, as it is no longer needed. - Back in your browser, go to
chrome://extensions/. - Use the toggle in the top right corner to enable "Developer mode".
- Click the
+ (from .zip/.crx/.user.js)button near the top of the page, and select theFastForward_chromium_0.XXXX.zipfile. - You may now delete the
FastForward_chromium_0.XXXX.zipfile, as it is no longer needed.

"Manifest version 2 is deprecated, and support will be removed in 2023. See https://developer.chrome.com/blog/mv2-transition/ for more details."
Just click on "clear all", this is just a warning, not an error.

"You're using FastForward in development mode, which means that bypass definitions are loaded from your local injection_script.js and rules.json. If you would like to use the auto-updating system, delete those files and then check for updates."
Go to the folder where you extracted Fast Forward, and delete the two files below:
Then click "Download bypass definitions" on the settings page.
Infinite "Downloading bypass definitions...."
This is caused by the current bypass definitions version being the same as the downloaded version. you can solve this issue by closing all browser windows and opening them. If this does not work, or the issue persists, please contact us on our Discord server. This issue will be fixed on the next FastForward version, with the manifest version 3.
"Manifest file is missing or unreadable"
This issue happens whe you attempt to install the `FastForward_chromium.zip` file rather than the `FastForward_chromium_0.XXXX.zip` file. Please follow the installation instructions above, ensuring that you carefully follow all steps. Linkvertise is not being bypassed
Some versions of Fastforward may not come with the linkvertise bypass by default. If you are having issues with linkvertise, please add the Linkvertise bypass manually by folling the steps below.- Copy the contents of this page. be sure to select all of the text, from the first "d" of
domainBypass, all the way to (and including) the last}). you may also usctrl+ato select all of the text. copy the text by pressingctrl+c. - Open the settings page for FastForward. this can be done by clicking the extention icon in the top right of your browser. this may be in a extentions sub-menu.
- paste the text you copied in step 1 into the "Custom bypasses" box. take care to do this all the way at the bottom of the custom bypasses box, and not in the middle of any existing custom bypasses.
- your changes will be saved automatically. if you have a open linkvertise page, please refresh it to be bypassed.

CRX_MISSING_PROOF error
Don't waste your time trying to install the .crx version of the install, just install the .zip version on this guide.
