When we were asked to make a proyect there were many ideas that came up.

Our purpose has always been making something different from what has been done in this subject.

These were our ideas:

  • Shuffle and divide up cards: We all know that shuffle is a tedious task to do when we are playing cards game for a long time. So, we decided to make a robot that could handle it.
    Nowadays, there are products that you can buy that make these things separately but no one that could do it together:
    Divide up cards
    Shuffle cards
    However, we rejected this design since its physics was really high and we were not confident about mixing both tasks.

  • Climbing robot: Something that has been really annoying is painting the upper part of a wall. So, we suggested that it could be one possible approach but as it was really complicated to paint, we decided that at least it could climb a wall.
    We referenced ourselves using some following videos:
    Disney Robot
    T-RHex
    However, we rejected this design since its physics and cost was really high. Besides, it was complicated for us to make a demonstration in front of our class.

  • Submarine robot: Another approach we suggested could be making a submarine robot. It was an interesting idea.
    However, we rejected this design since its physics and cost was really high. Besides, it was complicated for us to make a demonstration in front of our class.

  • Military robot: Another approach and similar to a field robot was making a military robot used to move in complicated surfaces but it was really common.

  • Musical robot: This was an idea that reminded us when we studied music at high school and we heard about .MIDI and we all had a flute at home so, it was easy to make a deep investigation of this approach. So finally, we decided to keep going on with this design.
