HW modification - FPV-Combat/Main_board_v2 GitHub Wiki

Scope

The older versions of the boards included some hardware components for additional filtering which is not needed anymore with the latest FW versions paired with the latest sensors. The procedure points to the removal of the unneeded component which allows the user to use the latest released firmwares.

IMPORTANT NOTE! Flashing the latest firmware without modifying the boards will result in non functionality of the system.

Affected boards

This modification applies to the following FPV Combat main controllers:

  • Standard HW v2.4
  • Standard HW v2.5
  • Micro

Procedure

  1. identify the component which needs to be removed according to the following pictures
  2. remove the component by either soldering iron as shown in this video or cut pliers
  3. clean the board as needed to make sure no residues are left on it and no damages has been made to other parts of the board
