Vine Helper (VH) and Ultra Viner (UV) are 2 different extensions used for Vine. They are not related, but are often mistaken for one another. To help you understand the main difference between the two extension, the following comparison has been made:

How they obtain data:

• VH: Use Vine Website and locally modify the interface
• UV: Is a separate user interface pulling data from vine.

New items notifications:

• VH: Has new items notifications checks every 30s (no auto-refresh involved)
• UV: Has instantaneous new items notifications

Infinite loop bug fix:

• VH: Fix some infinite loops to allow the Vine interface to work
• UV: Handle the ordering process by itself, fixing all infinite loop issues

Cost and code:

• VH: Free and open source
• UV: Free and Paid tiers, closed source

Launch date:

• VH: Launched in January 2024
• UV: Launched in May 2024

Key philosophy:

• VH: Aim to preserve the use of the Vine website, but improve the experience
