If you created save files earlier and notice that Freelancer never seems to display them, try this:

1. Make sure Freelancer: HD Edition is not installed in the "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)" directory.
2. Inside the EXE folder of your HD Edition installation directory, open the flplusplus.ini file.
3. Inside this file, there should be the entry save_in_directory = false.
4. Change false to true.
5. Save the file and exit.
