Description
Several types of environmental sensors in the water or near water are responsible for gathering observational data later used in FLARE water quality forecasts and other analytics.
Here is the list of current sensors:
| Sensor Name | Location | Description |
|---|---|---|
| YSI EXO2 | FCR-Catwalk | Instrument that has modular sensors connected to it. |
| YSI EXO2 | BVR-Platform | Instrument that has modular sensors connected to it. |
| EXO Optical DO Sensor | FCR-Catwalk | Sensor uses light to measure dissolved oxygen. This is attached to the EXO2 |
| EXO Turbidity Sensor | FCR-Catwalk | Sensor uses light to measure turbidity or how cloudy the water is. This is attached to the EXO2 |
| EXO Total Algae-PC Sensor | FCR-Catwalk | Sensor uses light to measure how much algae is in the water. This is attached to the EXO2 |
| EXO fDOM Sensor | FCR-Catwalk | Sensor uses light to measure the amount of organic matter in the water. This is attached to the EXO2 |
| EXO2 Central Wiper Sensor | FCR-Catwalk | A wiper brush to automatically clean the sensors. This is attached to the EXO2 |
| EXO Wiped Cond/Temp Sensor | FCR-Catwalk | Sensor that measures temperature and conductivity or the electrical conductance in the water. This is attached to the EXO2 |
