Description

An Ubuntu Server virtual machine on Jetstream infrastructure acts as a front node for some services including repository backups. It can be accessed through a public IP address via SSH. Another Jetstream VM is in charge of hosting self-hosted GitHub runners for a number of GitHub actions needed for running and maintaining the FLARE forecasts.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

No major maintenance is required. We should keep an eye on the disk space usage and make sure the VMs are not out of space. The GitHub Runner VM will eventually go out of disk space if the GitHub repository backups grow unlimited. We need to manually delete the old backups periodically, once a year, for instance.
