CelesteTAS has various hotkeys which are essential while TASing. If you are using a non-US keyboard layout, you will most likely need to rebind these inside the in-game Mod Options to better suit your keyboard

Important

Unlike other bindings in Celeste, these keybindings are key combinations. That means you'll have to press all signed buttons at the same time for the hotkey to work!

Tip

If you enable Send Inputs to Celeste (under Preferences) in Celeste Studio, you can still input these hotkeys, even while Studio is the currently focused window. Note that sending inputs will take priority over them being used by Studio, so assign your hotkeys to avoid conflicts or adjust the settings on when to send inputs to Celeste (see Input Sending under Preferences)

Default Controls

  • Start/Stop Playback: RightControl
  • Restart Playback: Equals
  • Fast Forward / Frame Advance Continuously: RightShift or Controller Right Analog Stick
  • Fast Forward to Next Comment: RightAlt + RightShift
  • Slow Forward: \
  • Pause / Frame Advance TAS: [
  • Pause / Frame Step Back TAS: LeftControl + [
    • Accumulates repeated presses to go back a certain amount of frames in the TAS
  • Pause / Resume TAS: ]
  • Toggle Hitboxes: LeftControl + B
  • Toggle Trigger Hitboxes: LeftAlt + T
  • Toggle Simplified Graphics: LeftControl + N
  • Toggle Center Camera: LeftControl + M
    • Drag camera around with Right Mouse Button and zoom with Scroll Wheel
    • Move camera around with Arrow Keys while holding down Info HUD
    • Zoom camera in/out with Home/End keys while holding down Info HUD
    • Double click the Right Mouse Button or double press the Free Camera button to re-center onto the player
  • Free Camera: LeftAlt
    • Adjust visible canvas position with Right Mouse Button/Scroll Wheel or Arrow Keys/Home/End while holding down Free Camera
  • Toggle Lock Center Camera: LeftControl + H
    • Locks the Center Camera to no longer follow the player's position
  • Save State in TAS: RightAlt + Minus
  • Clear State in TAS: RightAlt + Back
  • Info HUD: LeftControl
    • Double press the Info HUD hotkey to toggle the HUD
    • Hold down the Info HUD hotkey and left-click to drag the HUD around
    • Hold down the Info HUD hotkey and left-click to watch an entity
