SDGs Alignment Cards Activity Report

Overview

The Activity Report provides data about how the solution ecosystem is contributing to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 Targets over time.

It shows initiative activity data for a selected SDGs Alignment Card between two selected dates, including:

  1. Total SDGs Alignment Card Initiatives, additions and removals
  2. Target contribution activity : (Comments with Actual status)
  3. the addition and removal of targets
  4. Additional activity to Targets (New Comments with Actual status) within a date range.

1. Total SDGs Alignment Card Initiatives

These cells (Row 6) capture the changes to the number of initiatives on a selected SDGs Alignment Card between selected dates. The following data is captured:

  1. Initiatives beginning of period: The total number of initiatives at the start of the date range.
  2. Additions: The total number of initiatives added within the date range.
  3. Removals: The total number of initiatives removed within the date range.
  4. Initiatives end of period: The total number of initiatives at the end of the date range (= the total number of initiatives at the beginning of the date range, add additions during the date range, minus removals during the date range).

2. Sustainable Development Goals Activity

These cells (Rows 7 and below, and Columns B-E) capture the changes to the total number of Targets with comments that have Actual status on a selected SDGs Alignment Card between selected dates. The following data is captured:

  1. Targets beginning of period: The total number of Target comments saved with Actual status across all Targets Goals at the start of the date range.
  2. Additions: The total number of Target comments saved with Actual status across all Targets Goals within the date range
  3. Targets end of period: The total number of Targets with comments saved with Actual status at the start of the date range plus+ additions.

3. Additional Target Comments Activity

Additional Target comments saved with 'Actual' status saved Actual are shown in Column E – New comments saved assigned Actuals (Rows 7 and below). Column E captures and 'Saved New Comment' activity that has been saved against an already recorded comment saved with Actual status within the date range. This enables users to see when a Target is being addressed in a new way (see Saved New Comments) within the date range.

Saved Comment Data Included in Activity Report

There are two ways to save comments data:

  1. Updating Existing Comment – this is not included in Activity Report data.
  2. Save New Comment – This is included in Activity Report data.

1. Updating Existing Comment

Updating Existing Comment is used to edit or update an existing comment when the way a Target is addressing a goal has not changed. This will edit the comment details in the history but the original date that it was entered will remain unchanged and no activity is recorded in the Activity Report. Updating Existing Comment is used when rewording comments or adding additional information to a comment.

Note: Updating Existing Comment updates are not included as any activity data in the SDGs Alignment Card Activity Report.

2. Save New Comment

Save New Comment is used when you are entering new data about how a Target is being addressed. , This is used when how the Target is being addressed is fundamentally different to how it was being addressed in the previous saved comment and is more than a change to the wording. Saved New Comments with Actual status are recorded in the Activity Report.

Note: Save New Comments with Actual status are included in the Activity Report both as Additions and Save New Comments assigned Actual as described above.
