ABOUT CHEAP DEVICES:

Recently the market has been flooded with cloned/generic TV boxes that use known names like X88, H96, X96, S96, T95, with sub-models like king/Mini/Pro/Max/Max+/Pro+. These devices use many different internals, some of them even have fake RAM or storage, your device will most likely boot to EmuELEC with the correct DTB (correct meaning the REAL RAM value) but some may only boot from USB and not SD, you may need to ask the seller to give you an updated firmware that has support for SD booting but please don't ask here for compatible firmware, we do not know where to get it. And some of them are not even using Amlogic SOC and some of them are not compatible with EmuELEC at all. If your device does boot into EmuELEC, note that you will most likely run into some problems, from WiFi/Ethernet not working, to the device not booting at all, so buyer beware.

Also keep in mind some devices have a locked boot-loader (like MeCool and MiBox) unless you find a way to unlock it, these will not work with EmuELEC.

Support for S912 has been removed as of v4.0 this includes Pandora arcades (The ones that use S912), you can still use v3.9 for those.

Also note that if you are purchasing a device to run EmuELEC we recommend not to get a S912 variant(poor driver support and it will be removed in v4.0) and we HIGHLY recommend you get a device with at least 2GB of RAM (1GB of ram will give you a lot of issues). There are no plans to expand to other SOCS at the moment. But there is an unofficial version of Neo-EmuELEC-H3 for H3 devices, but we do not offer technical support for it.

EmuELEC is NOT in favor of companies that break licenses and violate copyright laws, we provide no support for these companies, for this reason WE DO NOT SUPPORT PRE-MADE IMAGES! any image that comes with roms, pre-configured or is shiped pre-installed with any device is considered a pre-made image, in other words we only give support for images you download and you personally install from this github repo!
