Using lr-flycast on EmuELEC Image
EmuELEC image has lr-reicast as an optional emulator for Dreamcast, Naomi and Atomiswave systems. Here's how you can get it running.
Dreamcast
Dreamcast BIOS
Place your BIOS files in:
/storage/roms/bios/dc
- dc_boot.bin
- dc_flash.bin

- A MAME format BIOS file (naomi.zip) from a recent (post 0.154) MAME build can be used instead of naomi_boot.bin
Dreamcast Roms
Place your .cdi, .gdi, or .chd files in:
/storage/roms/dreamcast
For .chd files, use the latest chdman.exe from MAME, place your chd in the corresponding folder and you will also need the corresponding .zip file, eg (/storage/roms/dreamcast/ikaruga.zip /storage/roms/dreamcast/ikaruga/gdl-0010.chd)

BIOS Instructions
Download the Mame BIOS pack. Place the following BIOS files in:
/storage/roms/bios/dc
- airlbios.zip
- awbios.zip
- f355bios.zip
- f355dlx.zip
- hod2bios.zip
- naomi.zip
BIOS Selector
The emulator allows you to select the appropriate BIOS via RetroArch RGUI Options -> Region. The default region is USA. You can also select Japan and Europe which is actually the Export BIOS.
RetroArch allows you to save per ROM setting by selecting the name of the ROM in Options menu (hint: it's the top first option).
The following Mame ROMS must use Japan as the Region in Options menu.

Atomiswave/Naomi Roms
Rom Formats
Mame roms (0.198 and above) are now supported after updating the core from binary or source. Direct loading of BIN/DAT files are supported and use the same BIOS selection as described above.
Place your .bin, .dat, or .zip files in:
/storage/roms/naomi for Naomi
And
/storage/roms/atomiswave for Atomiswave
For .chd files, use the latest chdman.exe from MAME, place your chd in the corresponding folder and you will also need the corresponding .zip file, eg (/storage/roms/naomi/ikaruga.zip /storage/roms/naomi/ikaruga/gdl-0010.chd)
If you prefer not to split your roms between Naomi and Atomiswave, either folder will work and launch the game without issue.
Error Codes
If you get an error code during boot, you will need to enter TEST mode. To do this, go to RetroArch RGUI then Options and enable Allow Naomi service buttons. You can enter TEST mode via L3 button and R3 to cycle thru menu items.
ERROR 02
Display: THIS GAME IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BY MAIN BOARD.
Resolution: The game isn't compatible with the USA BIOS, Select Japan as the Region in RetroArch RGUI Options.
CAUTION 51
Display: GAME ASSIGNMENTS ARE INCORRECT. SET CORRECTLY IN SYSTEM ASSIGNMENTS OF TEST MODE.
Resolution: Enter TEST mode. Go to System Assignments -> Cabinet Type -> 1Player(s)
CAUTION 54
Display: GAME ASSIGNMENTS ARE INCORRECT. SET CORRECTLY IN SYSTEM ASSIGNMENTS OF TEST MODE.
Resolution: Enter TEST mode. Go to System Assignments -> Monitor Type -> Vertical. This will cause the game to display sideways, set the Screen Orientation to Vertical in RetroArch RGUI Options menu.
Atomiswave/Naomi Compatibility List
The spreadsheet has been updated with BIN and Mame tabs. The BIN tab is outdated. The Mame tab has a list of roms to stay away from as they have issues.
